December Ice Storm

We don't get a lot of snow where we live but we do get ice storms on occasion. When we get them we can be stuck inside for days because the area we live in isn't really equipped to handle ice or snow. (No heavy equipment to clear the roads) This one was really bad because after all the freezing rain fell, temperatures did not get above freezing for almost a week. It took over two weeks for all the ice to melt completely. Thank goodness we had a stocked pantry and lots of water on hand!

Although ice is not as fun as snow to play in we still enjoyed it!

Christmas Dance Show Dress Rehearsal

Katie loves to dance. She is having a lot of fun taking dance class. Katie was sick for the actually Christmas show so we only have the dress rehearsal. All the kiddos looked so cute in their costumes!

I love all the faces she makes. She is one expressive girl!

This next picture shows perfectly how Katie is in dance class. Everyone else is doing one thing while she is doing another. She is very independent! :)

Thanksgiving

We were so blessed to have my sister and her kids come visit us. It was her kids first time visiting Texas. We had such a great time!
